Categories - Add, Edit, and Delete

Purpose
To add, edit or delete blog grouping categories.

Add A New Category
Note: You must be the administrator of this domain or subdomain (tenant) site to manage the categories.
To view a list of categories used to group the blog entries, look at the
Categories
box on the right of the home page. Or click on the
Manage Categories
link in the
Welcome
box on the right of the home page. The Categories page will appear with a list of all the categories for this blog site.

Add a Category
Add a category
1. To add a category, click on
Add A New Category
at the top of the Categories page.

Category:
Name the new category.
3.
Add Image:
Specify an image, if desired, for this category. Type the name of the image file in the input field or select the "Browse" button to select a file from your computer or network. Click on the
UPLOAD
button to upload the image.
5. Click on the
SAVE
button to add the new category to the blog site. Click on the
CANCEL
button to discard your changes.
Edit
Edit an Existing Category
Edit or delete a category
1. Click on a category name from the Categories page that you wish to modify.
2. Modify the name or image associated with the category.
3. Click on the
SAVE
button to save your changes. Click on the
CANCEL
button to discard your changes.
Edit
Delete an Existing Category
1. Click on a category name that you wish to delete from the Categories page.
2. Click on the
DELETE
button. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete. Click on "OK".
PLEASE NOTE: deleting a category that has blogs placed under that category will delete the blogs that are associated with it.
